Voice Lessons/Performance

 Upon completion of her Master’s Degree in Music, Jill moved to New York City to pursue a performance career before returning to her roots in the Mid-West to continue her teaching career. While living in New York City, Jill has performed Internationally, Nationally, Regionally and Off Broadway.  She has performed in several National Touring productions most notably “The Sound of Music” with Television, Film and Tony nominated Broadway Star Jonathan Groff. Jill has also recorded many Musical Theatre CDs with Stage-Stars Records. (See media section for recordings) After 15 years in New York City, Jill is pleased to return to the Mid-West and looks forward to continuing to serve the Liberty Community and the surrounding Kansas City area.

Jill Hemann is the ideal choice for your teaching and performance needs. Jill holds a B.A. in Secondary Education, a Master’s degree in Music from Webster University (St. Louis) and is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association. Jill has always had a passion for the Performing Arts and first stepped onto the stage in 1987 in her High School and Community Theatre productions. Her professional career began in 1996 when Jill was a cast member with the Michigan Opera Theatre performing in the inaugural production of “La Boheme” at the new Detroit Opera House. As a member of the Inaugural Chorus, Jill was blessed to perform with Luciano Pavarotti in the 1996 Opening Gala Concert which was hosted by Dame Joan Sutherland and Roddy McDowall. Although Jill is a classically trained singer, her specialty is Musical Theatre.
