Jill has been fortunate enough to continue to work in the educational field while simultaneously working in the performance field and touring the United States. While touring the Country performing in the National Tours of both "The Sound of Music" & "A Christmas Carol," Jill provided private teaching for the child actors in the production when not onstage herself. She has also previously been employed as a teacher in Missouri and Michigan and has extensive experience directing Children's Theatre.

While living in New York City for 15 years, Jill found that her background in the Arts & Education transferred nicely into the financial industry where she worked on and off in between performance contracts. Always eager to expand her horizons, Jill has spent several years additionally working on Wall Street running the Office of the Chair for several busy CEOs in the Financial Industry.

Teaching Philosophy

Music & Theatre play an integral part of each student's education as well as their own self expression. As a Music & Theatre educator, I believe that it is my responsibility to provide well prepared quality instruction to help each student realize his or her own individual potential and abilities. I also believe that every student, no matter what challenges they are faced with, can benefit from Music & Theatre instruction. Music itself is a unique discipline in that it can integrate many other subjects and disciplines such as Science, Math, and History into its curriculum, thus, providing students with a more well rounded and holistic education. Many other invaluable "real world" lessons can be taught and fostered through Music & Theatre instruction: teamwork, cooperation, tolerance, respect, as well as the building of independent and critical thinking skills, just to name a few. I strongly believe that Music & Theatre, as well as other forms of art, are necessary if we expect our students to be great thinkers and achievers. Through my education and love of the Arts, I intend to inspire students and help them realize their great potential.
